March 23-31 is National Farmworker Awareness Week, and the Oregon Human Development Corporation in Hermiston is participating again this year in the National Long-Sleeve Shirt Drive.

Long-sleeve shirts help protect farmworkers from pesticide exposure and heat-related illnesses.

Slightly used light-colored long-sleeve shirts made of cotton or other natural fabric can be brought to the donation box in Umatilla Electric Cooperative’s Hermiston office lobby. For more information, contact Vanessa Luczak at 541-701-0550 or Vanessa.Luczak@ohdc.org.
