A driver was killed Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 11 near Milton-Freewater.
According to the Oregon State Police, a 1998 Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on Highway 11 at a high rate of speed and struck the back of a 1991 Ford Escort, also traveling southbound.
The Mustang crossed over into the northbound lane of traffic and collided head on with a 2002 Chevy Suburban. The driver of the Mustang, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Highway 11 was closed for about six hours after the crash.
