OSP Releases Name of Driver killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Sunday

The driver that died in a multi-vehicle collision near Milton-Freewater on Sunday has been identified as James E. Tincher, 41, of Walla Walla.

According to the Oregon State Police, a 1998 Ford Mustang, driven by Tincher, was traveling southbound on Highway 11 at a high rate of speed and struck the back of a 1991 Ford Escort, also traveling southbound.

The Mustang crossed over into the northbound lane of traffic and collided head on with a 2002 Chevy Suburban. Tincher was pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway 11 was closed for about six hours after the crash.
