Duane Dyer Passes Away at 36
Duane E. Dyer died on March 7, 2019 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 36.
He was born on Oct. 2, 1982 in Pendleton to Darrell and Michelle “Shelly” Huso Dyer.
Duane was raised in Hermiston, where he attended Sunset Elementary, Sandstone Middle School and Hermiston High School. He graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 2001. He graduated from Wyoming Tech with certification as an automotive technician in 2003. He returned to Hermiston and shortly thereafter went to work for Harley Swain Subaru, where he had worked since.
Duane enjoyed golfing, fishing, snowboarding, DJing, playing guitar, and music, and he was very artistic. He cherished time with his family, especially time with his children.
He is survived by his companion, Aleea Strouse, Hermiston; daughter, Julie Dyer, Hermiston; son, Ethan Dyer, Hermiston; parents, Darrell and Shelly Dyer, Hermiston; sister, Krissy Remmerde, Vancouver, Wash.; grandparents, Jerry and Loretta Dyer, Hermiston; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene “Bud” and Helen Huso.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
