Dennis A. “DW” Winters died on Feb. 4, 2023 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 70.

He was born on June 9, 1952 in Ontario to Ray and Fern Hite Winters.

Dennis spent his childhood in the Ontario/Harper area. In 1970 he married Vicky Young and they had a daughter, Denise Winters, who blessed him with three wonderful grandchildren, Cody Winters (Erin), Mackenzie McClusky and Caysen McClusky, and two great-grandchildren, Braelynn McClusky and Elizabeth McClusky.

In 1983, he began a long-term relationship with Teresa Leathers. Along with Teresa came Mandy Pascale, and later came the sunshine of his life, Sarah Winters Deardorff (Brandon), and they added two more amazing grandchildren, Austyn and Dane Deardorff.

In 1995 Dennis married Aloras Spencer Winters, who brought Kim Little (Leonard) into his family, along with three additional precious grandsons, Tony Jacobs, Jerrad Little (Ami) and Travis Little (Haylie).

Dennis is also survived by his siblings, Christine Winters, Randy Winters (Terry), Clinton Winters (Kathie), Sara Vicary (Bill), Becky McClure (Mark) and Ellen Dentinger (Tom); as well as numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Denise Winters; as well as several aunts and uncles.

Everyone knew his passion for family, friends, laughter, food and work. His business (DW Ag Services) brought him countless friends and associates. Dennis never knew a stranger and greeted everyone with his infectious smile.

A celebration of life open house buffet dinner will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023 from 1 until 3 p.m. at GW’s farm.

Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
