The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a high wind watch for sections in Eastern Oregon. Travelers are advised to be prepared, especially while operating high profile vehicles such motor homes, travel trailers or commercial trucks.
The Grande Ronde Valley will remain very windy through Thursday, where a wind advisory will be in effect until 10 p.m. on Thursday. A high wind watch has been issued for the southern Wallowa Valley from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 10 p.m. Thursday with gusts 55-60 mph possible.
A wind advisory has been issued for the northern and southern Blue Mountain Foothills this morning and will last until 10 p.m. on Thursday with gusts 45-50 mph possible. Travelers should be prepared for possible delays due to downed trees and watch for blowing debris. ODOT crews will be monitoring highways and addressing issues as needed.
