Eastern Oregon Telecom, Umatilla County Emergency Management, and Blue Mountain Community College will host the Eastern Oregon Cascadia Earthquake Preparedness Summit on Friday, May 12 at the Red Lion Hotel in Pendleton.
Attendees will learn about the probable impacts to our area from a Cascadia event and become part of the response planning. There will be breakout sessions for industry-specific discussions.
The event is free to attend. Lunch and venue will be provided by Umatilla Electric Cooperative and Good Shepherd Healthcare System. Speakers will include FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), Oregon National Guard, Oregon Department of Energy, Oregon Office of Emergency Management, and Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries.
