Earthquake preparedness will be the topic of the next Hermiston Chamber of Commerce Business to Business luncheon on Tuesday, June 28.
Joe Franell, CEO of Eastern Oregon Telecom in Hermiston, will be the guest speaker. Franell is chairman of the Oregon Broadband Advisory Council and has been involved in the Oregon Office of Emergency Management’s planning and the development of the Cascadia Playbook. His presentation will explain risks and projected impacts to Oregon (focusing on Eastern Oregon) and will help us understand our responsibility to be prepared. He’ll give practical tips and hints for both the home and office to ensure business continuity after a major earthquake.
The luncheon starts at 11:45 a.m. at the Hermiston Conference Center. The event is open to the community, businesses and organizations.
