Job Summary

  • Primarily sells products and services through door to door solicitation to new and existing EOT residential customers.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solicits residential customers through door-to-door contact in EOT’s footprint
  • Explains products and services available to potential customer via visual aids, and obtains customer orders
  • Accurately completes all necessary paperwork for new orders in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines, including sales orders and sales reporting
  • Meets established objectives and sales quotas in assigned territories
  • Collects deposits and provides receipts according to Company policy and guidelines
  • Attends and actively contributes to sales meetings and appropriate training as requested by the Sales Manager
  • Performs other duties as requested by Sales Manager

 

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Understanding of and ability to perform consultative selling
  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills
  • Ability to sell products and services
  • Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods, during different seasons and/or during inclement weather
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems
  • Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner
  • Maintain proper appearance/attitude at all times to represent EOT professionally in the community
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain high level of self-motivation
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Certifications and/or Licenses:
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record within Company required standards; automobile insurance as required by law and Company standards
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services
  • Ability to speak and write Spanish
  • Ability to use personal computer and i-Pad
  • Experience with consumer education on products and services

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

 

Working Conditions

  • Typically spends approximately 80% of time in an outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Minimal time in an office environment
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
