The Ione Cardinals came to Echo Friday night and left with a 48-42 victory over the Cougars.
The Cardinals improved to 1-1 after Friday’s win. Ione lost their season opener to Wallowa, 50-8. Ione plays host to Condon/Wheeler on Friday.
The Cougars fall to 0-2 on the season, having lost to Crane on the road, 50-8, to open their season. Echo travels to South Wasco County on Friday to take on the 1-0 Redsides.
