The Echo Cougars dropped a non-league game to the Ione Cardinals on Friday, 44-12.
The Cougars made a game of it in the first half, scoring a pair of touchdowns and trailed by just 8, 20-12, going into the locker room. Ione, however, poured it on in the second half with four unanswered touchdowns.
Klay Jensen sparked the Cougar’s first-half success with a 95-yard touchdown pass and a 55-yard touchdown run.
Echo (1-1) will taken on Harper/Huntington on Saturday.
