The Echo School District will have its annual Kindergarten Roundup on Thursday, May 10 at 5 p.m. at Echo Elementary School in the kindergarten classroom.
Children who will be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2018, and their parents are encouraged to attend this annual registration event.
According to Beth Gehrke, Echo Schools registrar, “Our spring Kindergarten Roundup is a great opportunity for children to meet their teacher and classmates and see their new school,” said Beth Gehrke, Echo schools registrar. “Entering kindergarten is an important event in a child’s life and registration is part of the process.”
At registration, kindergarten teacher Tammy Short will have a story time and a craft for the children, while Gehrke works with parents to complete the registration forms. Parents should bring their child’s official birth certificate and immunization records. Gehrke said she encourages parents to arrive right at 5 p.m. so their children can participate in all the activities.
