The Hermiston Education Foundation will hold its ninth annual Fun Run Walk on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The event gets started at Sandstone Middle School at 9 a.m. There will be a 5K and 1 mile course. The cost to enter the 5K race is $10 and $5 for the 1 mile race.
Hermiston schools will be competing to raise money for the foundation that provides grants to district teachers for classroom materials. Each race participant will vote for their favorite school. The school with the most votes will receive a trophy.
Since 2003, the Hermiston Education Foundation has provided nearly $250,000 in funding to Hermiston schools.
Registration forms are available at Eastern Oregon Physical Therapy, 1050 W. Elm Ave., No. 130 , or at the Hermiston Education Foundation website.
