An electrical fire caused considerable smoke and water damage to the Columbia Court Club in Hermiston.
Firefighters responded to the club on Monday and found smoke coming from the front of the building. According to Hermiston Fire & Emergency Services, the fire was extinguished and crews canvassed the club looking for any additional smoke or fire. No one was injured in the fire.
Damage estimates have not been released but it could take three to four weeks to make repairs. In the meantime, Zumba classes have been taking place at McKenzie Park and the club may look into renting the park from the city in order to hold classes while repairs are being made.
