Drilling activities will be performed on Pendleton streets in the coming days.
The Oregon Department of Transportation will begin drilling activities on the corners of Southwest Court Avenue and Southwest First Street, and Southwest Dorian Avenue and Southwest First Street. The work is planned for the next two weekends, Oct. 14-16 and Oct. 21-23.
Watch for lane closures and temporary parking closures in these locations. Sidewalk detours will also be in place. Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around our work zones.
Existing poles and span wires holding the traffic signals at these intersections are old and do not meet current safety standards, according to ODOT. Pre-construction drilling activities will determine ground conditions and placement of new signal poles.
