Fair Week Kicks Off Saturday with Parade

Umatilla County Fair week gets under way Saturday evening with the fair parade.

The annual parade gets started at 6:30 p.m. and will begin on Highland Avenue at Hermiston High School and will continue west before turning onto Southwest Seventh Street, then onto Hermiston Avenue. The route continues across Highway 395 onto Gladys Avenue, turning onto Northeast Third Street, then onto Main Street before winding up near McKenzie Park.

The first day of the county fair gets going on Tuesday, as does the Farm-City Pro Rodeo.

Headline entertainment throughout the week includes A Thousand Horses on Tuesday, the Bellamy Brothers on Wednesday, the Brothers Osborne on Thursday, Montez De Durango, Domador De La Sierra and Tormenta De Durango on Friday, and Creedence Clearwater Revisited on Saturday. The concerts begin at 9 p.m. each night and admission to the concerts is included with the price of a fair ticket.
