Two Hermiston students were taken into custody today after activating a fire alarm at Hermiston High School.
According to the Hermiston School District, school administrators had to evacuate the students while Hermiston police officers searched the school.
The district said members of the Hermiston Police Department responded to the fire alarm activation with their full tactical uniform, as per law enforcement protocol.
After police found nothing suspicious, students were allowed back into the school and classes resumed their regular schedule.
