Three people were arrested early Sunday morning following a fight in Hermiston.
Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston said the department received a report of a fight in the 1300 block of North First Street around 1:30 a.m. Three people fled the scene in a Honda sedan. Edmiston said the car was located with the help of the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office.
The three arrested were:
• Edgar H. Rivera, 23, Hermiston, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of marijuana and second degree disorderly conduct.
• Kevin R. Melendez, 19, Umatilla, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of marijuana and second degree disorderly conduct.
• A 17-year-old Hermiston male charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, menacing, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of marijuana and pointing a firearm at another.
Rivera and Melendez were lodged in the Umatilla County Jail, while the teenager was lodged in the juvenile facility.
