A “Four Cornerstones of Financial Literacy” training will be offered in Hermiston, beginning Dec. 2.
The curriculum teaches economic empowerment skills and financial knowledge. Participants will create a spending plan, improve debt-to-income ratios, build a good credit rating and explore consumer protection.
The four-session class, offered by Umatilla-Morrow Head Start, will be held on Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10. Each session runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at the Hermiston First United Methodist Church, 191 East Gladys Ave. The class is free, and child care is provided.
