Umatilla County Fire District #1 welcomed two new recruits – Chandi Walker and Kory Reynolds.
Fire Chief Scott Stanton swore the two in on Tuesday. He talked with them about the history of firefighting in Hermiston and Stanfield, as well as the district’s mission, vision and values.
Over the next three weeks, Walker and Reynolds will go through district’s firefighter and EMS academy.
