The Oxbow Trail in Hermiston is closed until further notice.
The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department closed the trail due to the fires that broke out earlier this week.
The Hermiston Police Department noted the closure on its Facebook page and included the following:
“Please stay off the trail. Folks found in closed areas could potentially be charged with criminal trespass. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Please respect the closure.”
The parks department will have updates on its Facebook page.
The cause of the two fires that broke out Monday and Tuesday on W. Elm Avenue behind Oxbow Trail remains under investigation.
