Umatilla County Fire District #1 put out a couple of small fires near Riverfront Park on Thursday.
Just after 11 a.m., crews responded to a report of a small grass fire near the walking path at Riverfront Park. Crews were able to quickly put out the fire that was estimated to be about a quarter acre.
Earlier that morning, around 7:30 a.m., crews also responded to a brush fire near the walking trail by Linda Avenue. No injuries were reported.
