The Umatilla-Morrow Child Care Resource and Referral will offer a first aid and CPR class in Hermiston on March 12-13.

Certifications in first aid and CPR are required by the Child Care Division for individuals wanting to become a registered family child care provider or for DHS-listed providers to be eligible for the DHS enhanced rate. Scholarships may be available for active DHS-listed providers and registered/certified providers.

This class will teach participants how to perform CPR on infants, children, and adults. First aid topics include what to do until emergency medical help arrives.

The class will be held on Wednesday, March 12, and Thursday, March 13. Both sessions will run from 6 to 10 p.m., and both sessions are required to receive a two-year certification. The cost is $50. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for this training, as only 12 spots are available for each session. To register and get location information, contact Summer at 541-564-6878 or email smccoy@umchs.org.
