I nominate Jason and Shanna Estle. They started and ran Desert Rose Ministries for 10 years. They lived at poverty level themselves. They would send 30 people to drug and alcohol rehab a year. They were open each day to provide free food, clothing, counseling. friendship and a place to hangout for homeless and drug addictis. They held church on Sundays where the outcasts felt accepted. They have changed many lives.
Jason and Shanna worked with many organizations during their tenure at Desert Rose. They worked with Police, Good Shepherd, Agape, Hermiston High School, and the state prison to mention a few. It was really special when somebody they took to treatment would stop back by and tell them about their new life with sobriety, they also Installed a shower for a disabled veteran. They made repairs to seniors homes all at no cost. They richly deserve this Award for taking care of those who were lost, homeless, and had drug or alcohol problems.
