The city of Hermiston will hold a free Hermiston recycling event on Saturday, April 9 at the Umatilla Electric Cooperative parking lot.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items that can be recycled at no charge are aluminum, appliances, car batteries, computers and electronics, concrete, paint, paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, plastics, tin, tires, scrap metal, yard debris and clean wood. All items must be separated prior to bringing them to the event. Bins will be on site.
