The route for Friday’s Festival of Lights Parade has been changed due a shortage of available police officers.
The new route begins at Newport Park – on the corner of Newport Avenue and Fifth Street – and continues down Hurlburt Avenue to Second Street, onto Main Street to Seventh Street and back to Newport Park.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing to participate in the parade should begin lining up at Newport Park at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Spike Piersol at 541-571-5065.
