Elisabet Flores died on Saturday, April 11, 2015 as the result of an automobile accident in Hermiston at the age of 39.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1975 in Prosser, Wash. Elisabet was raised in Alto Benito, Texas from 1988 until 1997, graduating from Rio Grande High School in 1993. She moved to Hermiston in 1997 where she has lived since. Elisabet graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2005 with a degree in education. She has taught at McNary Heights Elementary in Umatilla since 2007. Elisabet cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed singing, dancing, shopping, traveling, and going on road trips.
She is survived by her children, Joab Elfria Herrarte, Briana Hilda Reyes, and Ayana Reyes; husband, Sergio Murguia; father, Hector Flores Sr.; grandparents, Delfina Flores Lomas, Narcisa Lomas, Valentin Lomas; sisters, Zulema Murguia, Cynthia Flores; brothers, Jose G. Flores and Hector Flores Jr.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Elisabet was preceded in death by her mother, Hilda Lomas; and her son, Martin Ayden Murguia.
Viewing will on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from noon to 5 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at New Hope Community Church, 1350 S. Highway 395, Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
