Hermiston kids ages 5-12 can get their art on next month during the Funland Art Competition at the Hermiston Community Center, 415 S. Highway 395. The event is sponsored by the Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department.
Children can sign up for a 30-minute session on Tuesday, July 7 or Thursday, July 9 to paint a 4-inch tile that will be considered for inclusion on the Funland Art Wall. All supplies are provided. Paintings not chosen will be returned to the artists.
The registration fee is $10 per session, with all proceeds going directly to the Funland Rebuild Project. Registration and more information, including COVID-19 guidelines, are available on the parks department website. Call the parks department at 541-667-5018 with questions.
