Gary Lee Longhorn of Hermiston passed away peacefully with family in attendance on Jan. 13, 2019 at the Hospice House in Kennewick, Wash. at the age of 73.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1945 in Stanfield.
He attended school in Stanfield and graduated in 1964. He married and moved his family to Pilot Rock in 1970. He worked at Kearns Furniture and later in the lumber industry at Louisiana Pacific, until a tragic car accident in 1989 left him paralyzed.
Gary is survived by his two children, Gary Lee Longhorn Jr. of Hermiston and Tamara Mae Hyder of Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Marie Longhorn in 2012, and son, Travis James Longhorn in 1988.
He enjoyed many different activities, including camping, hunting and fishing. He was especially fond of the Portland Trailblazers.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
