Gene Blair died on Aug. 24, 2023 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 64.
He was born on March 7, 1959 in Moses Lake, Wash. to Edward and Vivian Coyner Blair.
Gene served as a gunner’s mate in the United States Navy from 1982 until his honorable discharge in 1986. He worked at the Walmart Distribution Center. Gene enjoyed bowling, gaming and time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his father, Ed Blair; brother, Joseph Younger; sister, Danielle Santistevan; son, Ben Kreitel; daughter, Sabrina Phillips; nephews, Gavin Blair and Justin Younger; niece, Stacee Younger; and grandchildren, Ryan and Casey Peves.
Gene was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Carrie.
A celebration gathering will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Hermiston Senior Center (Harkenrider Senior Center), 255 N.E. Second St.
