Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington recently gathered nonperishable food for the Agape House in Hermiston, Umatilla and Irrigon.

Food Drive
Area Girl Scouts collected 759 pounds of food for the Agape House.
The annual event, held this year on April 18, is titled Scouting for Food and, with only three troops able to participate this year, the scouts were still able to round up 759 pounds of canned and packaged food.

The troops participating this year were: Girl Scout Daisy Troop 50038 of Hermiston, Girl Scout Brownie Troop 54379 of Umatilla, and Senior and Ambassador Troop 51444 of Hermiston. Earlier in the week, each troop hung fliers in the neighborhoods they had signed up to canvass, and returned to those neighborhoods to pick up the donations and deliver them to the Agape House.
