A GoFundMe account has been set up to help a Hermiston woman with cancer so she can make her daily appointments with her doctor in the Tri-Cities.
Christy Woodard, a mother from Hermiston, has been diagnosed with myeloma, an incurable blood cancer which can be treated and slowed. She has daily appointments with her doctor at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center which is a 34-mile drive each way. That’s nearly 70 miles every day to get lifesaving treatment. According to AAA the average cost of gas in Kennewick is $5 per gallon which is making the cost of staying alive enormous for Woodard. So her family is asking for help.
“We are asking for help to cover expenses for her trips to and from these appointments,” said her daughter, Nikki Leslie. “As we all know, the cost of gas and life, in general, is expensive, and living on social security like she is, makes her daily trips to medical providers more stressful due to limited finances. My family and I would greatly appreciate assistance with our financial needs.”
There is a GoFundMe to help Woodard fill her tank for these appointments so getting to her cancer treatment doesn’t bust the rest of her regular budget.

Thank you for publishing this for my mother, it is greatly appreciated. God Bless You
