    HERMISTON, OR – Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is pleased to welcome Nurse Practitioner Catherine Spomer to its esteemed Medical Staff. Spomer joins Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist Dr. Joyce Koh at Good Shepherd Gastroenterology located at 620 NW 11th St, Suite M-202.

    “We are excited that Catherine has joined our Gastroenterology team. Her arrival allows us to continue to expand access to this specialty care for our patients,” shared GSHCS President & CEO Art Mathisen.

    Spomer completed her Nursing Degree from Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University Global. She recently practiced for several years in Tri-Cities, WA.

    “My interest in gastroenterology is driven by the intricate nature of the digestive system and the diagnostic challenges it presents,” stated Spomer. “I enjoy helping patients navigate chronic conditions like Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, or GERD all while building, strong and trusting relationships, and witnessing the tangible improvements in their quality of life.”
