HERMISTON, OR – Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) welcomes Board-Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist Shumal Malepati, MD, to our esteemed medical staff. Dr. Malepati joins the Good Shepherd Women’s Center located at 620 NW 11th St, Suite M-106 in Hermiston, OR.

Dr. Malepati completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Mamata Medical College in Khammam, India, where she also obtained her Bachelor of Surgery. Dr. Malepati is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
“I’ve been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for 13 years, with the past 10 years serving in Tri-Cities, WA,” stated Dr. Malepati. “I’m thrilled to join Good Shepherd and serve this community.”
When asked why she chose this field of medicine, Dr. Malepati shared, “I chose women’s health because I’m passionate about helping women in all stages of their lives, and I firmly believe in preventative care that helps women with their health longevity and quality of life.”
In her spare time, Dr. Malepati enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. “I have two kids, and we love going to soccer games and traveling the world.”
