HERMISTON, OR – Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is pleased to welcome Physician Associate Maria Holden to Good Shepherd Primary Care located at 600 NW 11th St, Suite E-37 in Hermiston, OR.

“Expanding access to Primary Care services has been a significant focus at Good Shepherd,” shared GSHCS President & CEO Art Mathisen. “Maria brings several years of experience caring for patients of all ages. She will be a great asset to Good Shepherd’s Primary Care team.”

Holden earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ, after completing a Bachelor of Health Science from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR.

She journeyed into medicine to change lives and has been practicing in Hermiston the past three years. “I’ve seen how meaningful it is when someone feels heard, supported, and reminded that hope still exists,” shared Holden. “One conversation can change a life. I never take that responsibility lightly, and I work every day to be that person for the
    patients in this community.”

When asked why patients should establish care with Good Shepherd Primary Care, Holden stated, “A Primary Care Provider (PCP) is the foundation of good health and longevity. We don’t just provide care, we show up for this community. You’ll find us volunteering at local events, supporting families, and being present long before someone becomes a patient. That visibility builds trust, and that trust becomes the foundation for meaningful, lasting care.”

Outside of practicing medicine, Holden enjoys being outdoors, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. “Staying connected to nature and to the people of Umatilla County keeps me grounded and reminds me why I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this community.”

Good Shepherd Primary Care offers comprehensive family medicine for patients of all ages, including preventative screenings, chronic disease management, and coordination of specialty care when needed. We are welcoming new patients. To schedule an appointment, call 541.567.5305 or make an appointment online at https://www.gshealth.org/request-a-clinic-appointment.
