Good Shepherd Medical Center will host a free Community Naloxone Training event on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 12 to 1 p.m. Training takes place in conference rooms 1 and 2.
The comprehensive training will be presented by Julia Pinsky, executive director of Max’s Mission. Pinsky founded Max’s Mission in 2016 after the opioid overdose death of her son, Max in 2013. Her training events include free distribution of naloxone, a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose.
