Good Shepherd Health Care System will host a free class on understanding Medicare this Thursday, Aug. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The class, Medicare 101, is offered by the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) program to provide free information, education and advocacy for Medicare beneficiaries, family members and caregivers of those on or approaching Medicare eligibility. They offer information on additional insurance options, financial assistance programs available, and prescription drug plans.
The class takes place in conference center room 2, 610 N.W. 11th St. in Hermiston. Seating is limited. Please call 503-947-7302 or email shiba.oregon@oregon.gov to register. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
