Good Shepherd Health Care System has two diabetes education programs set to begin in September – one to help those who already have the disease, and the other for those wanting to prevent it.
The Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support program runs September through December at the Diabetes & Nutrition Center. A referral from your primary care provider is required. The cost will be billed to insurance.
Diabetes Prevention – Session Zero is a free year-long lifestyle change program that can be attended in person or virtually. It starts on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
For more information about the two programs and how to sign up, visit Good Shepherd’s website.
