On Saturday, May 3, Good Shepherd Medical Center will host an AARP Smart Driver Safety Course for people over 55.
The course, accredited by the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles, is offered on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Conference Room 2 of the hospital. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers.
The defensive driving class teaches safe driving strategies for individuals 55 and older. Completion of the course may provide participants with a discount on their auto insurance premium. Advance registration is recommended. To register, call Georgina O’Connell at 541-443-2231.
