Good Shepherd Medical Center is teaming up with AARP to offer Smart Driver Safety courses each month.
The course, accredited by the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles, takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Conference Center 2 on the first Saturday of each month. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers.
The defensive driving class teaches safe driving strategies for individuals 55 and older. Completion of the course may provide participants with a discount on their auto insurance premium. Advance registration is recommended. To register, call Georgina O’Connell at 541-443-2231.
