Beginning on July 2, the Good Shepherd Diabetes and Nutrition Center will offer the Achieve, Conquer, Thrive (ACT) program, a lifestyle improvement course focused on nutrition and fitness for all adults.
Registered dietitian nutritionists teach attendees to work toward a healthy weight; learn to make healthy choices; improve blood pressure and cholesterol; prevent or manage chronic conditions; and achieve health goals. The course includes nine group classes and two to three months of private sessions.
Because of a grant from Good Shepherd Health Care System that covers 90 percent of the cost, the registration fee is only $135 for this $980 program. For more information about the course and payment plans, call 541-667-3517.
