Good Shepherd Health Care System will begin offering a Basic Life Support (BLS) course this Friday, Dec. 14. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The course is another in the arsenal of ongoing lifesaving technique classes Good Shepherd introduced this past summer. As with the CPR/AED and First Aid courses, the BLS course is taught according to American Heart Association guidelines. It’s designed to teach healthcare professionals how to perform high-quality CPR and AED for adults, children and infants, individually or as part of a team.

The fee is $55 per participant and includes a take-home healthcare professional CPR manual. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required (no online registration available). For more information and to register for any of the lifesaving courses, call the education department at 541-667-3509.
