Grace Ann Scanlon died on April 17, 2013 in Hermiston at the age of 78.
She was born on Jan. 8, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Orville A. and Kathryn M. Sundbloom Peterson. Grace married Lee Edward Scanlon. She moved to Hermiston in 1993. Grace was a librarian at Armand Larive Middle School and later at the Hermiston Public Library.
She was a Vange John Memorial Hospice volunteer and volunteered at Rose Arbor Assisted Living in Hermiston.
Grace enjoyed helping others, reading, traveling, and photography.
She is survived by her son, Sean and his wife, Sarah; daughter, Rachel and her husband, Blair; and grandchildren, Corey and Allison.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
There will be an informal gathering of family and friends with a potluck dessert on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 4 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 191 E. Gladys Ave., Hermiston, 97838.
