Grace and Mercy Lutheran Church (ELCA) of Hermiston has moved to 665 E. Gladys Avenue and has added a “little” something extra.

Eric Knerr installed a Little Library on the corner of E. Gladys Avenue and 7th Street.

This library is unique in that it provides Sunday school-type books and materials, as well as books on empowerment and just plain fun for the area’s English and Spanish youth, from birth to sixth grade. Children and families are encouraged to take a book, read a book, and return or share a book.

ELCA shares space with St. John’s Episcopal Church. ELCA services are at 11 a.m. each Sunday, and on Facebook. St. John’s services are at 9 a.m. with a joint fellowship at 10 a.m. Pastor Weston Walker continues to lead the services and church and says, “All are welcome.”

For more information regarding the library or church services, contact Grace and Mercy at 541-289-4535.
