Gregory “Greg” Donald Hunt, a lifelong Hermiston resident, passed away in Hermiston on Monday Oct. 24, 2022 at the age of 68.
He was born May 19, 1954 in Hermiston to Donald and Ruth Ann (Jones) Hunt.
Greg graduated from Hermiston High School in the Class of 1972. He was involved in football, wrestling as well as karate.
He married Valadia “Dea” Denny in Hermiston on Oct. 13, 2002. Together they raised their joined family as one. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2017.
Greg had a passion for woodworking and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors; going for bike rides; bird watching and long hikes. Always the prankster, Greg loved a good joke and would often pull pranks on his friends and family.
He is survived by his three children and three stepchildren; several grandchildren; two sisters and several extended family members.
Greg was always someone you could count on and would “give the shirt off his back” if needed. An animal lover and brother to many.
A celebration of life will be held this spring. A notice will be given when event activities are arranged.
