BC Contracting and PROffutt Limited Partnership (PLP) of Fargo, N.D. have announced a groundbreaking ceremony set for Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. for a 240-unit apartment complex at 220 N.E. Columbia Ave. in Boardman. Construction is expected to begin the end of October.
Boardman’s supply of rental apartments is at almost 100 percent capacity. This high occupancy rate and resulting shortage of rental units, combined with the ongoing growth of the Port of Morrow, have created the need for this new complex. It will almost triple the city’s current units, the last of which were built in 2010. The new apartments will have a more modern design and up-to-date appliances.
“We saw a need and an opportunity for a newer, more modern place for the residents of Boardman to live and we took it,” said Scott Neal, President of PROffutt Limited Partnership. “This project has been in the works for some time, and we are looking forward to bringing this new addition to a growing city.”
A sales and marketing office will open several months before the project is completed. More information, including amenities available within the complex and apartment floor plans, will be available next year.
