The Inland Northwest Musicians, under the direction of R. Lee Friese, will be performing Handel’s Messiah in Echo and Connell, Wash., on the weekend of Dec 16-18.
The Orchestra and Chorale will be performing Part I of the Messiah along with the Amen and the Hallelujah Choruses.
The orchestra will consist of seven violins, two violas, three cellos, one bass and a harpsichord. There will be multiple choral soloists including:
• Basses Bryan Bates of Ione, Gene Wright of Athena and Harvey Foreman of Pendleton
• Tenor Phil Ruud of Pendleton
• Altos Mary Finney of Pendleton and Denise Null-Whaley of Pendleton
• Sopranos RaNiel Dunn of Hermiston and Salli Ketchersid of Hermiston
Performances will take place at the Echo Community Center on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m., and at Connell High School in Connell, Wash., on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
Members of the Hermiston High School and Connell High School choirs will join the chorale for the Amen and Hallelujah choruses.
