The Hermiston Agricultural Research and Extension Center (HAREC) will dedicate the Don Horneck Memorial Building on Nov. 18.
This state of the art building, located at the HAREC site, houses an agronomy lab, insect rearing rooms, a tissue culture room and a room to store equipment. HAREC Director Phil Hamm said the building was paid for by contributions from many in the agricultural community and beyond.
“This facility is a tremendous addition to this research and extension center and will significantly aid staff to provide new research based information to the regions agriculture community,” Hamm said.
The event takes place at 2 p.m. and refreshments will be provided.
