Harvey W. Guidice of Hermiston died on Oct. 27, 2015 in Hermiston at the age of 84.
He was born on March 16, 1931 in Plevna, Mont., to William and Alvina Christman Guidice. Harvey was raised and attended schools in Montana and later Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho where he graduated from high school in 1949. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Harvey married Arlene Woods on May 26, 1955 and they later divorced. Harvey worked for Woolworths Dept. Store in Spokane, WA and later as a manager in La Grande, OR and Nampa, Idaho before opening and managing the Woolworths in the TriCities. He later worked the furniture department at the J.C. Penney store in Kennewick, Washington. He married Joyce Tramel on September 9, 1977 in Pasco, Washington. Harvey retired in 1987 and they moved to Hermiston where they have lived since. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Harvey was an avid gardener and spent countless hours working in his yard. He was a former member of both the Moose and Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce Guidice, Hermiston; daughter: Cheryl Edens and husband Mike, Bothell, WA; sons: Bill Guidice, Kennewick, WA, Tim Guidice and wife Diane, Monroe, WA, and Steve Guidice and wife Debbie, Spokane, WA; step children: Shannon Bird & husband Blessing, Nampa, ID & Phillip Heffley, Kennewick, WA; sister: Maryanne Steensrud, North Dakota; 7 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Al, a sister, Deloris, and a stepdaughter, Kendra McPheeters.
A private family gathering will be held.
