The 21st annual Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation’s Scramble for Scholarships golf tournament will take place Friday, June 13 at the Big River Golf Course in Umatilla.
Proceeds from the four-person scramble, limited to the first 120 golfers, go directly to the foundation’s scholarship fund for area students who plan to enter the health care profession. A total of $85,500 in scholarship funding has been awarded by the foundation in the past five years.
The entry fee is $70 and includes greens fee, a box lunch and barbecue dinner. In addition, a 2014 Ford Fusion will be awarded to the first golfer who hits a hole in one at hole number nine.
